Der berühmte Taucher-Trailer vom Festival 2008 lockt auch zum 3. FullDome Festival im Zeiss-Planetarium Jena, 24./25. April 2009. Während das Zauberwort „FullDome“ für viele Menschen rätselhaft ist, stößt es bei anderen die Tür zu magischen Wunderwelten auf. Das 3. FullDome Festival bietet die ideale Gelegenheit, mehr darüber zu erfahren. Als Darstellungsraum für 360° Ganzkuppel (= FullDome) -Projektionen hat sich das Zeiss-Planetarium Jena mit dem All-Dome-Laser-Image-Projection (ADLIP)-System etabliert. Bereits zum dritten Mal findet dort am 24./25. April 2009 das FullDome Festival statt. Die Initiatoren sind sich einig, dass FullDome die Möglichkeiten der räumlichen und filmischen Darstellung erweitert, und dass die Inszenierung von immersiven Erlebnissen in 360° für Medienkünstler ein zukunftsträchtiges Sujet darstellt. (Trailer FullDome 2008 - Archiv Salve TV) On the 26th of April the 2nd FullDome Festival will take place in the Zeiss-Planetarium of Jena, and once again you’ll have to bring more sets of eyes to take it all in. Jena installed a new system called All-Dome-Laser-Image-Projection (ADLIP). It uses six synchronically working lasers that project animated pictures on to the planetarium's dome, which reaches a size of about 800m². A 360 degree FullDome projection offers an optimum in contrast, focus and color reproduction. The films shown here are no longer reliant on the limits of the flat screen of a TV or movie theater. Animated pictures surround the spectators from all sides and make them part of the show by putting them in the center of the action. The exploration of the FullDome medium is just beginning, but this new form is fast-paced so that we can expect inventive as well as dynamic contributions at the 2nd FullDome Festival in April 2008. Creative and audiovisual experiments along with short films from students will take centre stage at the festival.
